THE INTUITIVE SELF
- It Takes Courage . . .
Deep in the hearts of most people is a desire for peace, a desire for love. It is only the temporary overwhelming of the senses by emotions that causes painful, and seemingly intractable acts. Mankind can shed blood until there is no more blood to shed, and still the desire for peace and love will remain unsatisfied. So why not go straight for the goal. Just stop and say: Peace, Love. That is all. And these beautiful energies will enter in.
Consider yourself invited to this powerful and satisfying new way of life – to creating the difference we want to see and live.
"If you think
you’re too small to make a difference,
Often when faced with creating real change, many of us feel overwhelmed and erroneously think that we are too insignificant to make effective difference. However there were and are courageous women and men all over the world — ordinary people — who stepped into their power to take a stand for what they knew was right, and in so doing have blazed a trail for us. They stepped into a space of authentic power and discovered a force more powerful ~ active nonviolence. Each found their own unique way to make extraordinary changes in the character and course of their nation’s history.
We honour them all and take courage: the Quakers, who resisted slavery, the Danes, who stood against ethnic cleansing, the Poles, who fought for the democratic rights of a nation, the South Africans, who brought down the cruel walls of apartheid, the Chileans, who turned the tides against dictatorship, and a host of others, who, embodying the spirit of active nonviolence, became the change they wished to see.
those who have courageously shown us the way,
From the Peace Circle 'A Force More Powerful' (March.2004)
If there is light in the soul,
There will be beauty in the person.
If there is beauty in the person,
There will be harmony in the house.
If there is harmony in the house,
There will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation,
There will be peace in the world.
